Construction timelapse cameras in Rockhampton
Beef capital, river city. We fly in for the install, and the nodes run the rest of the programme on solar with no site visit needed. Solar nodes on the fence, no site power, the whole build on film, and the gate counted.
Rockhampton sites we see
- Riverbank and CBD precinct works
- Beef Australia and showground events
- Industrial and port-linked builds
- Council facility upgrades
The same node does the whole programme: a frame every fifteen minutes for the film, faster when the pour is on, the gate counted and the site watched after dark. Weather sits on the same timeline as the pictures, so a rain day is on the record.

One visit for the install. The nodes report on solar for the whole build; the film and the reports arrive as the programme runs.
Questions from Rockhampton builders
How soon can a node be on a Rockhampton site?
Two to three weeks from a signed quote. Rockhampton is in the remote travel band ($1,650 on the quote), which covers the crew's trip for the install; after that the nodes run on solar and report by themselves, and the frame and the capture interval are changed from the office.
Does the site need power or internet?
No. Every node runs on solar and its own battery, and reports through the Site Base Station in the site office, which carries its own 4G link with a satellite failover option. Nothing is trenched and nothing is plugged into site power.
What does the monthly price include?
The node on hire, its data, the timelapse film built as the programme runs, the Control Room login and the support. The set-up covers the install visit, the mounts and the travel. Longer programmes earn a discount on hire: 12 months 5 %, 18 months 10 %, 24 months 15 %.
Can we change how often it captures?
Yes, down to a frame every minute. Set it in the Control Room, or have HQ change it remotely for every site in the programme. The quote warns you when a fast interval needs the mains-power or extra-data options.
Is anyone identified in the footage?
No. The timelapse is a wide frame of the build; the gate vision node counts people and checks PPE on the node and sends counts and events, never identities. Faces and plates are not stored.
