Move People Before the Crush Forms
Platform crowding, car park occupancy and shuttle demand, live. TransportSense counts people where they wait and puts the answer on the screens that tell them where to go next.
The Timetable Knows When. It Does Not Know How Many.
Services run to a schedule; the crowd does not. A platform fills because a match finished early, a car park is full ten minutes before anyone tells the drivers still circling it, and the shuttle queue is only visible to the people standing in it.
Counting people where they wait turns those moments into numbers an operator can act on: another service, a different gate, a screen that sends people to the stop that is actually moving.
What You Can See and Steer
Crowding where people wait
Live occupancy on platforms, concourses, stops and queues, with a threshold that raises an alert in the control room before the space is full.
Car park occupancy
Spaces in use by level or zone, counted at the entries and exits, so the sign at the street says full when it is full.
Shuttle and event demand
Queue length and dwell at shuttle and rideshare points after a match or a concert, so vehicles go where people are waiting rather than where the plan said they would be.
Screens that redirect
Crowd-aware signage switches content on the live count: the next service, the quieter entrance, the car park with room.
Patterns for planning
Demand by hour and by event, kept as history: the evidence behind a timetable change, a new stop or a capital case.
Into the tools you run
Counts and alerts over the API, webhooks and MCP, so they reach the operations systems and dashboards your team already uses.
Map, Measure, Move
- 01
Map the pinch points
Where people wait, queue and turn back. We plan node positions from a site map and a walk-through, remotely where we can.
- 02
Measure live
Nodes mount on existing poles and structures, on mains or on battery and 4G, and report to the control room as soon as they are on.
- 03
Move the crowd
Alerts reach the people who can add a service or open a gate, and screens tell travellers where to go.
Operators Who Move Crowds
Transport operators
Crowding and demand at stations, interchanges and stops, measured consistently enough to plan services on.
Car park operators and councils
Live occupancy for wayfinding signs and apps, and utilisation history for pricing and planning.
Stadiums and event precincts
Shuttle, rideshare and walking-route demand at egress, when thousands of people leave at once.
Airports and ports
Queues and dwell at the kerb, pick-up zones and terminals, without identifying a single traveller.
No Names. No Faces. No Devices Tied to a Person.
Travellers are counted, never identified, whether they are on a platform, in a car park or in a shuttle queue.
The nodes count and measure movement. They never identify anyone, there is no facial recognition, and no names, faces or devices are tied to a person. You get the number without collecting anything about the people it counts.
TransportSense, Answered
Can it work at a stop or platform with no power?
Yes. Nodes run on battery or solar and report over 4G, so a temporary shuttle stop or an outdoor platform works as well as a building with power and network.
Does it replace our ticketing or tap-on data?
No, it complements it. Ticketing tells you who paid; counting tells you how many people are standing on the platform right now, including the ones who have not tapped on yet.
Can the screens show our own content?
Yes. The signage runs your content and switches to crowd-driven messages when a threshold is crossed, then switches back.
Can we start with one site?
Yes. Most operators start with one interchange or car park, check the numbers against what staff see, then extend.
